New Production! Two hundred years after its debut at La Scala in 1817, Rossini’s graceful masterpiece on the excesses of power returns.
Academy Award©-winning director Gabriele Salvatores (Mediterraneo) will relate the story of the servant Ninetta (debuting soprano Rosa Feola), who’s wrongly accused of theft. The eminent expert on Rossini, Riccardo Chailly will conduct a wonderful cast, the cream of the new generation of Rossian bel canto. We will hear the tenor Edgardo Rocha, basses Alex Esposito and Paolo Bordogna, as well as Teresa Iervolino and the expert canto of Michele Pertusi.
