Rogue Waves

Rogue Waves

Directed by Mick Lawrence.
Classification: E, 72 mins.
Country: Tasmania.

A Tasmanian story set in some of the most remote areas of the southwest wilderness and the Indonesian archipelago. It's an ethereal road trip of discovery, mateship, becoming unlost, and dealing with the rogue waves of life.

Mick Lawrence is a 72 year old filmmaker & writer who reflects on an adventurous life growing up in Hobart as an early pioneer of local surfing. After almost 50 years he walked away and spent the next 10 years exploring the Tasmanian wilderness by kayak and is now a guide at a Port Davey wilderness camp.

Features stunning cinematography, 5:1 soundtrack and original music by George Goerss that would do Pink Floyd proud.

This limited screening does NOT include a scheduled Q+A.
