Moon Film Festival

Moon Film Festival

The Moon Film Festival

On the 20th July 49 years ago, Neil Armstrong stepped on to the Moon. A defining moment in history, that to this day leaves people astounded at the achievement.

To celebrate the 50th anniversary, the State Cinema presents: the Moon Film Festival, the 16th to 24th of July 2019, the same 9 days that Apollo XI embarked on her audacious mission.

In the years before and since, the Moon has featured in stories of exploration, especially so in the movies. The Moon Film Festival will showcase a selection of our favourite films that feature our beloved Moon.
